Session Spotlight: Agility & Quickness

With the weather warming up, it’s a great time to get outside and work on your speed and quickness. These movements are easy to do at home with a partner and will help your player with bursts of speed out on the pitch.

Nutrition Tips

As we look to transition from the cold months of winter into spring and summer months here are a few things to examine.

Injury prevention starts with equipment. Following the winter months check your cleats for signs of wear and any areas that may have become dried out or cracked. This is the season where glue will start to lose its adhesive hold and could lead to on-field injury.

As you transition blisters may also become a nuisance.  Wearing 2 pairs of socks with a thin layer of foot powder or cornstarch in-between can help prevent blisters. If you do get a blister do not pop it. Keeping the blister intact will help prevent infection. Try blister second skin or Vaseline to decrease the friction on the blister.

3 keys to injury prevention as always are: Proper hydration, Proper warm-up, Proper cool-down.
